Dr. Richard Eilenberg is dedicated to his profession and has an impressive list of achievements, including establishing the Cosmetic Dental Clinic in Remuera, and the New Zealand Institute of Cosmetic Dentistry, the first private teaching institution in the country with hands-on courses for general dentists. He has traveled extensively as a lecturer, in 2000 was President and Life Member of the US-based World Congress of Microdentistry and in 2001 was awarded New Zealand’s first Advanced Certificate in Dentistry.
After graduating from the University of Otago, Richard moved to England to work and study more advanced dental procedures at the University of London, gaining a Master’s Degree in Restorative Dentistry. For the last 10 years, he operated the clinic in Remuera before country life beckoned and he, his wife Leslea, and 3 daughters, decided to move from the city. In 2007 they set up Pukekohe Dental, offering quality cosmetic dental procedures as well as private family dental care.
“Deciding on a change of lifestyle away from the stress of the city enabled us to introduce a high quality, high technology clinic for the Pukekohe area. We particularly like the friendliness of the people and the open spaces. My wife Leslea works with me at Pukekohe Dental and is one of the most experienced dental hygienists with training both in New Zealand and the US. Leslea is qualified in children’s dentistry, a member of the Dental Council of NZ and is a Past President of the NZ Dental Hygienists’ Association.Â
My happy place is perfecting personal smiles and giving bedazzling professional cleans and Oral Health Care. Ongoing specialised education in the industry is my passion and I have an extensive background and reputation in modern dental technology.
My ultimate goal is to look after the health and well-being of our patients.
